Erika Popma

Working with a Greenwood King Properties agent to purchase her first home in Houston convinced Erika Popma to follow the passion she'd always had for a real estate career. When growing up in Canada, Erika built a strong professional background in theater and modeling which drew her to live and work in New York City where she met her husband. When she and her husband moved to Houston after a few years, Erika decided to change gears and pursue her passion.

"The experience of working with GKP throughout that transaction was formative for me," Erika states. "I was surrounded by such professionalism and positivity that I was truly inspired. I now bring that same inspiration and motivation to every transaction for my clients."

Erika thrives in the fast-paced world of residential real estate and works with clients in all price levels and stages of their lives. "With sales, you gain from what you put in," she says. "Effort will always be rewarded and hard work will always pay off in the end."

Knowledgeable, energetic, and approachable, Erika is an excellent and very firm negotiator. "My approach is often different, and I bring a fresh perspective to the table by drawing on my past experiences to help shape new ones. I also see the humor in so many situations, and that is often a great stress-release for all involved."

Erika was born in London, Ontario and graduated with a degree in psychology from the University of Western Ontario. She volunteers for numerous activities at her children's school, and enjoys attending Broadway road shows, the Houston Symphony concerts, hockey games, and Texan football games.
